Who we are
Michael, Terah, and Vannah
The name is not an acronym for anything clever. It is our family.
Where the name comes from
MTV stands for Michael, Terah, and Vannah. Michael is the husband. Vannah is the wife. Terah is our daughter. Three names on the door, because this is a family business and we would rather say so plainly than invent something that sounds bigger than it is.
We are based in Fort Worth and Dallas. Both of us are ordained through American Marriage Ministries, which licenses us to perform a ceremony in any state in the country, so where you are marrying is rarely the problem.
Between the two of us we handle the ceremony, the premarital course, and the photography and film. You are not passed between suppliers who have never spoken to each other.

Michael and Vannah met and married 198 days later. That is not a number we rounded for a story. We counted it.
People had opinions about that. Some of them said so out loud. We understood why, and we did it anyway, because we were sure and waiting would not have made us more sure.
We also took the Twogether in Texas course before we married. Not because a website told us to. We wanted to sit down and have the conversations the course makes you have, about money and family and what we each expected, before we stood in front of anybody. It was worth the eight hours.
That is why we teach it now. We are not recommending something we skipped ourselves.
Meeting the people who will run your day matters, but so does knowing what it costs. Both are on one page.

Who does what
Both of us are ordained and can marry you anywhere in the country. Beyond that we split the work, and nothing gets subcontracted to somebody you have never met.
Premarital counseling
Vannah Isbell-Hughes, MA, NCC, LCDC, CSAT, RYT200
Vannah is an ordained minister through American Marriage Ministries and can perform your ceremony in any state. She heads Trinity Holistic Healing, and the premarital course is powered by Trinity. She is a registered provider with the state, which is what makes the certificate count at the clerk's window.
Counseling is her profession rather than a sideline. She works with couples before the wedding and years after it, and the course covers what it covers because those are the subjects people come back about.

Photography and film
Michael ZADAN Isbell
Michael is an ordained minister through American Marriage Ministries, so he can perform your ceremony in any state. He also shoots and edits the media, and runs Zathena Ventures, the studio behind this site and a good many others.
He also builds the platforms the galleries are delivered on, which is why your photographs arrive somewhere private rather than as a link to a shared drive that expires in a month.
Outside the studio he records and performs as ZADAN. He started on piano at six and picked up guitar, ukulele, saxophone, drums, and trumpet as each one came his way. It is the reason he has opinions about the music at your ceremony, and the reason he knows what a room sounds like before he sets up in it.

The T in MTV
Terah, our flower girl
Terah is four. Her name has been on the door since the beginning, and she has now been given an actual job: she walks the aisle ahead of you with a basket of petals, for couples who do not have anybody for it.
It is a real add-on rather than a joke about our daughter. Her dress is matched to your colors, the basket and petals are included, and there is nothing for you to buy or arrange. If your timeline does not suit a four-year-old, we will say so rather than take the money.
All three of us are in this, is the point. Vannah marries you, Michael films it, and Terah goes first.

Which is the honest reason we sometimes cannot take your date. We are trying to fix that properly rather than by taking on more than we can do well, so we are looking for officiants, photographers and filmmakers, drone pilots, planners, coordinators, customer care, and course educators.
