Terms of Service

These terms apply when you book a ceremony, take our course, or buy something from the shop.

What is booked, and what is bought

Ceremonies, planning, media, live music and the wedding website are BOOKED. You pay 60% to hold the date and the balance is settled when the work completes. It is a little more than the half most of the trade asks for, and it is why we can give 60% of it back when plans change five days out, where most keep a retainer in full. The cancellation terms below apply to these.

Courses, the Name Change Kit and anything from the shop are BOUGHT. They are paid in full at checkout, because there is no date to hold: a digital course or kit opens to you straight away, and shop orders go to our print partner the moment they are placed. The cancellation terms below do not apply to them — see Courses and the Name Change Kit, and Shop orders.

A date is held once we receive your deposit. Until then the date stays open to other couples.

Changes and cancellation

These terms apply to booked work: ceremonies, planning, media, music and the website.

You can move your date once at no cost, as long as you tell us more than 30 days before the ceremony and we have the new date free. After that, the date-change fee shown at booking applies.

Cancel 5 or more days ahead and 60% of everything you have paid comes back. The other 40% stays with the studio for the date we held, the couples we turned away for it, and the arranging already done.

Inside 5 days the deposit stays with us in full. On a booking that travels, those 5 days are counted from the day we travel rather than from your ceremony, because that is the point at which flights and rooms stop being cancellable. A booking made on short notice may never have the 5-day grace at all — if there is not enough time for us to cancel the arrangements, there is not enough time for the refund either.

Travel money we have already spent and cannot recover does not come back. Where a flight or a room can still be canceled, that portion returns at 75%, the difference covering the booking, the canceling and the chasing of the refund.

Fees you have already paid for something that happened — a date change, a delay on the day — are not returned by a later cancellation. The disruption they covered has already occurred.

If we have to cancel for a reason within our control we refund everything you have paid, including the 40%. If we cancel because a travel or reception invoice went unpaid, the ordinary terms above apply.

Travel

The first 60 miles from Fort Worth carry no travel charge. Beyond that, travel expenses are estimated automatically, itemized on your bill before you pay, and split: the cost of getting there is charged with your deposit, and the rest of the travel expenses rides with your final balance.

Beyond driving distance we book flights, a stay near your venue, and ground travel. The estimate you pay at checkout is exactly that — an estimate. If the real bookings come in at or under it, the estimate stands. If they come in higher, you are responsible for the difference: we attempt it on your saved card, and if that fails we email an invoice, because we cannot book the travel until it is paid. An invoice unpaid for 7 days cancels the booking under the cancellation terms above; we send a reminder every day it is open and call you if we can, which is why far bookings collect a phone number at checkout.

Your remaining balance — the second half of your booking plus the final portion of travel expenses — is charged to your saved card when the work completes: when your gallery is delivered, or when your signed certificate is filed. A failed final payment carries a $25 fee, because the work is done at that point.

Reception

A reception added to a wedding booking is priced from your guest count, itemized on your bill before you pay, and split like travel: part is charged with your deposit, and the rest rides with your final balance.

The food and drink figures are estimates for a real grocery order, and you are responsible for what that order actually costs. If it comes in at or under the estimate, the estimate stands and nothing more is asked. If it comes in higher, we bill you the difference before the order is placed: we attempt it on your saved card, and if that fails we email an invoice, because we cannot place the order until it is paid. An invoice unpaid for 7 days cancels the booking under the cancellation terms above, with a reminder every day it is open.

The chef and catering portions of a reception are flat and do not change with the order. A reception follows the same cancellation terms as the booking it belongs to.

Courses and the Name Change Kit

Course fees and the Name Change Kit are paid in full at checkout and are separate from any ceremony booking. The cancellation terms above do not apply to them.

Our guarantee is for couples whose plans fall through, not for buyer's remorse: if you do not end up getting married, tell us within 30 days of your course finishing — or within 30 days of buying the Kit — and we refund the fee in full.

Once you have used what you bought, it cannot be refunded. Completing a Twogether in Texas course and taking the certificate to your county clerk collects a real benefit from the state — $60 off your license and the 72-hour wait waived — and that benefit cannot be handed back. The same is true of the Name Change Kit once its documents have been downloaded. We may ask you to confirm the marriage did not go ahead.

If a course was genuinely not delivered as described, that is a different matter and not covered by the above — write to us and we will put it right.

The refund covers the course or Kit fee only. It does not cover a ceremony deposit, media work, or anything else on the same order.

This applies once per course per couple.

Shop orders

Shop items are paid in full at checkout and sent to our print partner as soon as the order is placed, which is why they are not booked and cannot be canceled once printing has begun.

If something arrives damaged, faulty, or is not what you ordered, tell us within 30 days and we replace it or refund it — your choice, and we cover the postage.

Merch carrying your own photograph is made for you alone and cannot be returned for a change of mind, though the faults above are always covered. The one-time print-setup fee on a custom photograph is not refundable once the artwork has been prepared, because that is work already done.

The ceremony

You are responsible for obtaining a valid Texas marriage license before the ceremony. We cannot perform a ceremony without one.

We arrive at the agreed time and location. If the location changes, tell us as early as you can so we can confirm we are able to get there.

Photography and film

Where media is part of your package, we deliver an edited gallery within the timeframe quoted at booking.

You get full personal use of every image and film we deliver. We keep the copyright, which lets us store and deliver them, but we will always ask before showing any of it publicly.

Course

The Twogether in Texas course is delivered by Trinity Holistic Healing. Completing all eight hours earns the certificate that waives the waiting period and reduces the license fee.

Course access is for the two people enrolled. It cannot be shared or transferred.

Shop orders

Shop items are printed to order and shipped by Printful. Delivery times vary by item and destination.

If something arrives damaged or wrong, tell us within 14 days and we will replace it.
