Pick up, deliver and set the reception spread.
$200 flat per reception
A reception's food and drinks are ordered online from grocery stores for pickup. You collect the order, bring it to the venue or the couple's stay, and set the spread so it looks like a wedding rather than a grocery run. Where a chef cooks the meal, you set out what they cook. Contractor-first by design: receptions happen wherever the wedding is, so this role is usually filled by somebody local to the venue.
What you would do
- Collect the placed order on time, complete, and checked against the list
- Deliver to the venue or stay and set the full spread before guests arrive
- Set out the chef's dishes where a meal is cooked on site
- Break down and clear what the venue requires cleared
What you need
- Reliable vehicle that can carry a full order
- Food handler's card, or willing to get one before your first reception
$200 flat per reception
- Included inside the reception package price; never billed to the couple as its own line.
- Local to the venue — this role does not travel with the studio.
Why that number: Delivery-and-setup catering labor around DFW runs $18-25 an hour; a reception's pickup, setup and breakdown is a six-to-eight-hour day, so $200 flat sits at the market's midpoint without hourly bookkeeping.
Paid within 7 days of the booking's balance settling, through the payout request in your panel. The studio does not pay out of a deposit it might still owe back, so payout follows settlement rather than the wedding date.
