You cook the reception meal at the couple's stay — usually the Airbnb near the venue — from the groceries the studio ordered. The catering role sets out what you cook. Contractor-first by design, hired local to the venue rather than traveled out.
What you would do
- Plan the cook against the approved menu and the delivered groceries
- Cook the meal on site, timed to the reception
- Leave the kitchen the way the stay expects it back
What you need
- Professional cooking experience — restaurant, catering or private-chef
- Food handler's card
- Comfortable working an unfamiliar kitchen alone
$350 flat per reception cooked
- Included inside the reception package price; never billed to the couple as its own line.
- Local to the venue — this role does not travel with the studio.
Why that number: Private chefs around DFW quote $60-120 a head for dinner parties because they also shop and plan the menu; here the groceries and the menu arrive done, leaving the cook itself, which a flat $350 prices at the generous end of an evening's skilled work.
Paid within 7 days of the booking's balance settling, through the payout request in your panel. The studio does not pay out of a deposit it might still owe back, so payout follows settlement rather than the wedding date.
